DECEMBER S. KARR Tuesday, May 14, 1996 - Sunday, June 25, 2017

December Samantha Karr, age 21, passed away on Sunday, June 25, at 2:31 p.m., at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri while surrounded by her family. December lived in Republic, Missouri and graduated from Clever High School in 2015. She was currently a student at OTC, studying to be a phlebotomist.

December was born on May 14, 1996 in Joplin, Missouri. She was very excited to receive a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer for her 21st birthday. She enjoyed babysitting her “nephew”, Brayker, keeping her daddy in line, cooking and baking, and keeping the pantry and freezer full.

December loved manicures with her sissy, spending time with family, being the caretaker and mini-mom, long naps with Dodge, and Mountain Dew.

December was a hero to many. She was our little fighter till the very end but unfortunately lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis. December was SUCH an inspiration to SO many people. Not a second will go by that she's not missed. Knowing the fact that she's no longer in pain, fighting to breathe and is happy helps bring comfort. December was an advocate for Cystic Fibrosis education, teaching classes in high school and fund-raising with t-shirts to donate to different foundations. She enjoyed using Facebook to make contacts and would talk about CF to anybody who was willing to lend an ear.

December is survived by her father, Matthew Karr; a sister, Destiny Karr; brothers, Dustin Arbuckle and Evan Killingsworth; bonus mom, Koren Karr; mother, Corinza Culver; a great big loving family including grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins that were like siblings to her; and her close friends.

So sorry for the loss of a precious girl. I will always remember her as a sweet little baby splashing in the kitchen sink and as a fiesty little girl and as an inspiration and fighter. Rest In Peace sweet girl.
It's been many years since I saw December and her family last, but the memories are full of love and laughter. I remember when she was so little and loved to make people smile. I'm so sorry for the family's loss! I'll keep you all in my prayers, my thoughts and my heart.
My Mini Me! My girl. My hero! Strongest woman I know. My heart will forever ache to see your smile, FaceTime with you and be in your presence, I take comfort in knowing you are with Poppy now watching over us and can breath easy. I love you forever!!!! Aunt Ang
I did not know you long but your smile was infectious. I must admit, holding Dodge while you did your PFT's was a first for me. Breathe easy sweet girl!
Breathe easy sweet sweet girl. You have been an inspiration to so many and it was a prievledge to be your teacher. May you be at peace wrapped in the Lords embrace. Prayers for the family.
