KENNETH WALTER CLARK Monday, June 20, 1932 - Sunday, September 17, 2017

Mr. Kenneth Walter Clark, age 85, of Republic, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Republic Nursing and Rehab. He was born on June 20, 1932 in Blue Eye, Missouri, the son of the late Walter William “Bill” and Nora Elizabeth (Smith) Clark.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Kenneth was a Blue Eye High School graduate; and later earned a Master of Science in Mathematics. As a musician himself, he owned and operated Clark Music Store for many years. He also did income tax preparations; and was a math teacher at Glendale High School and a professor of math at Missouri State University.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Betty Wood on May 30, 1953, and they were blessed with three sons. As a family they attended the Assembly of God church in Republic and Central Assembly in Springfield.

He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty; his three sons and their spouses, Richard “Rick” and Christi Clark, Kelly and Sarah Clark, and Jonathan “Jon” and Christa Clark; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Charlene Whittaker.

A private graveside service for the family will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Jones Chastain Cemetery, south of Nixa, Missouri, under the care of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Convoy of Hope (330 S. Patterson Ave., Springfield, MO 65802) in Kenneth’s name. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was my Husband's math teacher at Glendale High School. From what my husband has said, he was a wonderful teacher. My he rest in peace.

Always enjoyed seeing Kenneth and Betty.  As a young girl in Lampe, I was always excited when they came to church at Elm Tree with Kenneth's folks and brought the 3 boys . May God comfort the family with wonderful memories of a wonderful man.

I shared the passing of your Dad with Steve's Dad on Sunday morning he was saddened by his passing. We had a great conversation where he shared that he would go to the music store and visit with your Dad. Kenneth would play music for John and they would talk about their kids.
